IS YOUR PET AT RISK?

You could be sentencing your dog or cat to serious medical problems by not spaying and neutering.

Click here to learn more about being a responsible owner and doing the right thing for your beloved pet!

Found A Stray?

Visit this site for information on what to do.

ARF does not pick up stray dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens. The City of Tulsa will pick up strays and some other rescue groups might assist you. Go to TulsaPets.com for a list of area breed and rescue groups.

Don't Litter!

It is against Tulsa pet ordinances for you to have a dog or cat older than 6 months that is not spayed or neutered.

Please help us save more dogs from being destroyed at kill shelters by spaying and neutering your pets. Unless you are a licensed breeder, you should not have an intact dog or cat. Be part of the solution instead of part of the problem!

What Parents and Children Should Know!

If you are adopting a dog or already have a pet in the house, please look at this video (Preventing Dog Bites to Kids) to prevent your child and pet from injury and heartbreak. Did you know that 77 percent of all dog bites happen with family pets or with pets belonging to friends? Watch and learn.

The ARF House is now officially open! It will serve as our new home. Potential adopters, foster homes parents, and volunteers are welcome during normal business hours:

Sunday Noon until 4 p.m.
ARF House Officially Open!
LaFortune Park (5201 S. Yale Ave.)

Stephanie Johnson is our new Adoption Counselor. She has been with ARF for more than 15 years. She will be asking for volunteers to help out on busy days, as well as scheduling dogs and cats to show at the ARF House.

We have room for 12 to 15 animals to show, and we have bathing facilities and an excellent environment for meet-and-greets for potential adoptions. Jaynie Osment, our president, conveys her special thanks to everyone who has made this possible: Rob Wheeler, who arranged for the building to be leased (donated) by the County and paid for the furniture; Amy Sellers, who arranged for sponsorship of half of the cages and the dog tub; Jennifer Junkins, who saved the day with decorations and treats for the grand opening; Kim Hagedorn, who paid for our temporary sign until the City of Tulsa approves our permanent one; Christine Po, who provided tons of supplies and fabulous cupcakes, and to all of the volunteers and foster homes who came Saturday to support ARF!

Jaynie and all of us are extremely proud of our new "home." ARF will now be able to help more animals get into loving homes. We have always had the best volunteers, and now we have the best place to show animals, too! We will, of course, continue showing animals at PetSmart as usual, but we now have our very own special place, as well.

For more than 25 years ARF has been finding responsible owners for homeless pets. Our primary mission is to rescue pets from kill shelters and place them in forever homes.

If you believe in this mission, please join us by becoming an ARF member, a financial partner, a volunteer, or by opening your home and heart to foster a homeless pet.

What Is TOKT?

ARF's tattoo numbers begin with the letters TOKT. If you find a dog with those letters followed by numbers tattooed to its inner thigh, please call ARF and let us know.
