At the office, you will pay the adoption fee ($105 for dogs, $90 for cats) in either cash or check made payable to the Animal Rescue Foundation. This fee helps us cover some of the cost of spaying/neutering, tattooing, vaccinating, and lab testing. When you pick-up your new pet, the vet will ask that you purchase a six month's supply of heartworm preventative medicine for your new pet. This usually costs around $25, depending on the size of the animal. At this time, you will receive a copy of your adoption contract. Medical records on your pet and information from National Tattoo-A-Pet will arrive by mail.
